Asignatura Optativa. Teórico-Práctica

OBJETIVO: Que el estudiante incorpore conceptos básicos sobre el origen, evolución, diversidad, manejo y estudios de Amphibia (anfibios) y Reptiles.

MÉTODO DOCENTE: Lunes, Curso Teórico-Didáctico con exposición de tópicos. Miércoles, Curso Teórico–Práctico, con prácticas de laboratorio.

EVALUACIÓN: Dos evaluaciones. Participación oral en clases, revisión de lecturas, tareas, prácticas de laboratorio y de campo (por confirmar).

TEMARIO:

1.- Introducción. a) Historia de la herpetología, b) Estado actual de la conservación de la biodiversidad de anfibios y reptiles.

2.- Origen y evolución de Amphibia y Reptilia, Grupos basales de Amphibia, Amniotas y Grupos basales de Reptilia, Evolución de Reptilia (Parareptiles/Anápsidos//Diápsidos/Aves).

3.- Amphibia (Lissamphibia). a) Diagnosis, filogenia, distribución, conducta, desarrollo, ecología, historia natural y diversidad de: Urodela/Caudata (Salamandras/Tritones/Ajolotes) Gymnophiona (Cecilias) Anura (Ranas/Sapos), b) Declinación de los Lissamphibia Valor, Capital natural, Servicios Ecosistémicos.

4.- Reptilia. a) Diagnosis, filogenia, distribución, conducta, desarrollo, ecología, historia natural y diversidad de: Chelonia/Testudines (Tortugas) Crocodylia (Cocodrilos/Caimanes/Gaviales) Rhynchocephalia (Tuátara) Squamata (Lagartijas/Serpientes/Anfisbénidos), b) Grupos vulnerables y en extinción, Valor, Capital natural, Servicios ambientales.

5.- Herpetología en la práctica, Educación ambiental, Normas/Convenciones (estatus de las especies): NOM-059, IUCN, CITES, Prácticas de campo y colecta (Normatividad, Gestión, Colecta, Transporte, Ética de usos), Colecciones científicas (En México y el mundo, Curaduría, Fijación, Catálogo). Identificación de la biodiversidad herpetofaunística (Definición de linajes, Identificación de Amphibia y de Reptilia vs Sauropsida), Acervos vivos (Experimentación, Crianza, Manejo, Cuidado, Sanidad), Comercio, Tráfico, Especies invasoras, Contaminación biológica, Conservación (Legislación, Programas, Aprovechamiento). Biodiversidad, Divulgación.
